How we spell your name
Korean writes names from other languages by how they sound, following the standard Korean spelling rules for each language. 585 common names in 10 languages come from our name list.
Every other name is spelled by rule from its letters. Spelling does not always show how a name is said (English especially), so say it aloud and, if it sounds different, type it the way it sounds — for example Shawn for Sean.
The Korean names come from a list of 75 real given names, with the standard romanization. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
