Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Soho Korean (“we”, “us”) is a brand of Aura, the trade name of Minsup Kim, sole proprietor (Business Registration No. 250-24-02521, Republic of Korea). These terms cover this website, sohokorean.com, and the digital products we sell.

2. What we provide

• Free lessons. The online Hangul course and reference pages on this site are free to use. No account is needed.
• Digital workbooks. Printable PDF workbooks, sold through our Etsy shop and, in future, directly on this site.

We may improve, change or retire free material at any time. A workbook you have bought stays yours to use under section 4.

3. Buying a workbook

• On Etsy. Purchases made on Etsy are also governed by Etsy’s terms and our Etsy shop policies. Etsy processes the payment.
• On this site (when available). Payment is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record: Paddle processes the payment, collects and remits sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. We never receive or store your card details.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Tax may be added depending on your country; the final amount is shown before you pay.
• Workbooks are digital files. Nothing is shipped.

4. What you may do with a workbook

When you buy a workbook you get a personal licence to use it. You may:

• print as many copies as you need for yourself;
• if you are a teacher or tutor, print copies for your own students;
• fill it in on your own tablet or computer.

You may not share, upload, sell, resell, rent or otherwise distribute the file or its pages, in whole or in part, or present them as your own. The workbooks, lessons, illustrations and the characters Sori and Hoya belong to Soho Korean.

5. Refunds

Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms.

6. Accuracy

We work hard to make every lesson correct, and Korean content is checked by a native speaker before it goes on sale. Romanization is a pronunciation hint, not a replacement for listening. If you find a mistake, please tell us at hello@sohokorean.com.

7. Liability

The free material on this site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or our products. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live, where those apply to you.

9. Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Purchases already made are governed by the terms in force when you paid. Questions: hello@sohokorean.com.
