우리 uri
literally “we, our”
our mum, our house — speaking from inside a group
우리 means "we" and "our", and Koreans use it where English says "my": 우리 엄마 (our mum), 우리 집 (our house), even from an only child. The word puts the speaker inside a group rather than at the centre, so 내 엄마, the literal "my mum", can sound oddly pointed by comparison. It doesn't mean anyone else shares your mum.
The closest English
“my”
The right English, but it drops the 'us' that Korean keeps.
“our”
Literal, but 'our mum' from an only child sounds odd in English.
“we”
Only the pronoun. It misses 우리 as a way of belonging.
In a sentence

우리 반에서 제가 제일 키가 커요!

In your language, is it 'my house' or 'our house'?
