Native numbers and counters
To count things, use the native Korean numbers with a counter — a small word for the kind of thing. The order is noun, number, counter: 사과 세 개. Before a counter, 하나 · 둘 · 셋 · 넷 shorten to 한 · 두 · 세 · 네.
