V-게 되다

Come to …, end up …

-게 되다 describes a change that came about through circumstances or time rather than by plan: “came to …”, “ended up …”. It is most common in the past, -게 됐어요. It is also a modest way to share news: 한국에서 일하게 됐어요 — “I'm going to be working in Korea.”
