V-기로 하다
Deciding and agreeing
-기로 하다 means you decided, or agreed with someone, to do something. It's usually in the past: -기로 했어요. With -자, it makes a plan together: 만나기로 하자, “let's agree to meet”.

친구하고 같이 영화를 보기로 했어요.
My friend and I decided to see a film together.
민지하고 반말하기로 했어요.
Minji and I agreed to talk in 반말.
올해는 매일 운동하기로 했어요.
