문어체 -(ㄴ/는)다

The written style

In native review Taught in Unit 3: Technology and everyday life

Essays, articles, diaries and books use the plain -다 style instead of 해요. Adjectives and 있다/없다 keep the dictionary form; verbs in the present add -다 after a vowel and -는다 after a consonant. The past is -았/었다 and the future -(으) 것이다. In this style, 저 becomes 나.
