V-는 게 좋겠다
It would be better to …
A gentle piece of advice or a suggestion. 게 is short for 것이, so it's literally “doing … would be good”. For “better not to”, use -지 않는 게 좋겠다.
Examples
나가실 때는 가방을 가지고 나가시는 게 좋겠어요.
It would be better to take your bag when you go out.
오늘은 일찍 자는 게 좋겠어요.
You'd better get an early night tonight.
비가 오니까 밖에 나가지 않는 게 좋겠어요.
It's raining, so it would be better not to go out.
