N 때문에
Because of …
Put 때문에 after a noun to give the cause: 음식 때문에, “because of the food”. It usually explains a problem or a bad result; for a good result, 덕분에 (Unit 2) sounds kinder. With a verb or an adjective, use -기 때문에 from Level 2.
Examples
음식 때문에 다른 재활용품도 더러워져요.
Food makes the other recycling dirty too.
비 때문에 소풍을 못 갔어요.
We couldn't go on the picnic because of the rain.
배달 음식 때문에 쓰레기가 많아졌어요.
My rubbish has piled up because of takeaway food.
