V-아/어 버리다
Completely — and it's done
-아/어 버리다 shows that an action is completely finished and can't be undone. Depending on the situation it carries relief (숙제를 끝내 버렸어요 — got it done!) or regret (다 먹어 버렸어요 — oops, it's all gone). 잊어버리다 and 잃어버리다 are written as single words.

Examples
호떡을 다 먹어 버렸어요.
I ate all the hotteok. (It's gone.)
알람을 끄고 다시 자 버렸어요.
I switched off the alarm and went back to sleep.
숙제를 벌써 끝내 버렸어요.
I've already got my homework done.
