-(으)ㄴ/는 편이다
Tend to be …, on the … side
Use this to describe a tendency without sounding too strong — “on the … side”. Adjectives take -(으)ㄴ 편이다 and verbs take -는 편이다; with a verb, add an adverb such as 잘, 많이, 자주 or 빨리. Koreans use it a lot when they describe themselves, because it sounds modest.
