N(이)라서
Because it is …
(이)라서 is 이다 plus -아서: “because (it) is N”. Use 이라서 after a consonant and 라서 after a vowel. Like -아서/어서, it gives a reason, so don't follow it with a suggestion or a request — use (이)니까 for that.

호야 씨는 호랑이라서 무서워 보여요.

오늘은 주말이라서 사람이 많아요.
It's the weekend, so it's crowded.
저는 학생이 아니라서 할인을 못 받아요.
I'm not a student, so I can't get the discount.
