-냐고 하다
Passing on a question
For a question, use -냐고 하다, or -냐고 묻다 / 물어보다 (to ask). Verbs, 있다 and 없다 take -냐고, adjectives take -(으)냐고, and nouns take (이)냐고. Question words like 뭐, 언제 and 어디 stay inside the sentence.

Examples
사장님이 수진 씨가 일곱 시까지 올 수 있냐고 물어보셨어요.
The boss asked if Sujin can come in by seven.
손님이 몇 시에 문을 닫냐고 물어보셨어요.
A customer asked what time we close.
친구가 저한테 어디에 사냐고 물어봤어요.
My friend asked me where I live.
