V-아서/어서 (sequence)
Do this, and then that — on the same spot
getting somewhere is a chain of linked steps — “get off and change”, “go and buy”. -아서/어서 links two steps so that the second one continues from the first.
Example
서점에 가서 책을 샀어요.
I went to the bookshop and bought a book.
