What you’ll learn
- V/A-잖아요 · N(이)잖아요…, you know (a reminder of what we both know)
- V-나 보다 · A-(으)ㄴ가 보다 · N인가 보다It seems …, it must be … (a guess from what I can see or hear)
- V/A-(으)ㄹ걸요 · N일걸요I think probably … (a tentative guess, often a soft correction)
- V-는지 · A-(으)ㄴ지 · N인지 · -(으)ㄹ지whether / what / where … (a question inside a sentence)
Sori’s tips in this unit
- Which guess? -나 보다, -(으)ㄹ걸요, -(으)ㄴ/는 것 같다 and -겠-
- -잖아요 without the sting
- Also in this unit: -(으)ㄹ 테니까, a reason with a promise or an assumption
- 몰라요 or 모르겠어요? And -는지 or -(으)ㄹ지?
