Sori’s tips in this unit
- The fixed expressions you already met — now you can read them
- Sounds: 합니다 is [함니다], 먹습니다 is [먹씀니다]
- No stem changes before -습니다 — except ㄹ-stems

Hoya, you give a presentation at the orientation tomorrow. Have you prepared your self-introduction?

Yes, I have. “I'm Hoya. I study Korean.”

좋아요. 그런데 발표에서는 합니다체를 써요. “저는 호야입니다. 한국어를 공부합니다.”
Good. But in a presentation we use the formal style, 합니다체. “I am Hoya. I study Korean.”
