Sori-ssaem, this week's homework is writing about “technology and our lives”. But what I wrote feels a bit strange.
어디 봐요. “저는 매일 아침 스마트폰으로 뉴스를 읽어요.” 문법은 맞아요. 그런데 글에서는 이렇게 잘 안 써요.

Let me see. “I read the news on my smartphone every morning.” The grammar is right. But in writing, people don't usually write like this.
왜요? ‘-어요’는 공손한 말이잖아요.

Why? ‘-어요’ is polite, isn't it?
