Passing on ‘don't’ and ‘let's not’
Taught in Level 3, Unit 4: The manager said to come early (2)
about half of all instructions are ‘don't’. The negative is not 안 or 못 here: it is a special verb, and once you know it, negatives follow the same patterns as everything else.
Example
의사 선생님이 술을 마시지 말라고 하셨어요.
The doctor told me not to drink alcohol.
