V-는 중이다 · N 중이다
In the middle of…: 통화 중이에요
on the phone you keep hearing and saying where someone is in their day — 회의 중이에요 ('she's in a meeting'), 통화 중이에요 ('the line is busy'), 가는 중이에요 ('I'm on my way'). 중 means 'the middle', and it is the everyday office word for 'busy with it right now'.
Example
동생은 지금 수업 중이에요.
My younger sibling is in class right now.
