The N that I did (past modifier)
Taught in Level 2, Unit 8: Have you been to Jeju?
you can already describe with -는 (먹는 음식, food I eat) and with adjectives (예쁜 꽃). To talk about trips — 'the place I went', 'the food I ate' — you need the same slot for something already done.
Example
어제 먹은 흑돼지가 정말 맛있었어요.
The black pork I ate yesterday was really good.
