Taught in Level 3, Unit 2: Because of, thanks to
L2-U11 gave you -기 때문에 for a reason with a verb and promised N 때문에 here. Nouns cause things all the time (a cold, snow, a person), so this is the quickest way to say why, without needing a verb.
Example
눈 때문에 길이 많이 막혀요.
Because of the snow, the roads are jammed.
