N(이)라서

Taught in Level 3, Unit 2: Because of, thanks to
every reason you know so far (-아서, -(으)니까, -기 때문에) attaches to a verb or an adjective. When the reason is a noun ('because it's the weekend', 'because I'm a student'), you need 이다 in the middle. (이)라서 is 이다 plus the -아서 you already know, so its rules are familiar.
Example
저는 외국인이라서 한국어가 어려워요.
I'm a foreigner, so Korean is hard for me.
