Direct quote and indirect quote
Taught in Level 3, Unit 3: The manager said to come early (1)
reporting is not just adding 고. Some words inside the quote change and some do not. Knowing which is the difference between passing on a message and making a mess of it.
Example
지수가 「저는 다음 주에 이사해요」라고 했어요.
Jisu said, ‘I’m moving next week.’ (direct)
