Doing one thing for two reasons
Taught in Level 4, Unit 8: Plans and intentions
at Level 1 and 2 you gave one purpose at a time (-(으)러 가요, -(으)려고). Real plans usually have two reasons at once, such as 'to see my family and to bring back pine nuts'. Korean has a small word for exactly that: 겸.
Example
친구도 만날 겸 쇼핑도 할 겸 명동에 갔어요.
I went to Myeongdong partly to meet a friend and partly to shop.
