Just because … doesn't mean … — taking a bad argument apart

comment sections run on leaps of logic — everyone does it, so it's fine; he apologised, so he's guilty. -다고 해서 … -는 것은 아니다 is the calm Korean way to break such a step: just because A, it doesn't follow that B.

유명하다고 해서 다 맛있는 식당은 아니에요.
Just because a restaurant is famous doesn't mean it's good.
