Korean grammar · Level 5
V-아/어 내다 · V-아/어 대다
See it through · keep on and on — two helping verbs
Taught in Level 5, Unit 8: Kimjang day
a kimjang day has both — the hundred heads you finally get through, and the person beside you who will not stop asking questions. Korean says the first with -아/어 내다 and complains about the second with -아/어 대다.
Example
어려운 시간을 잘 견뎌 냈으니 이제 좋은 일만 있을 거예요.
You've come through a hard time, so there'll be only good things from now on.
