Special honorific verbs — and the 있다 trap
Taught in Speech Room, Unit 4: Honorifics 2: 께서 and special words
for a handful of the most common verbs, adding -(으)시- is not enough — the honorific word is a different word. You have heard 드세요 and 계세요 since Level 1; here is the whole set, and the one trap.
Example
할머니께서 점심을 드셨어요.
Grandmother had her lunch.
