To the point where … — a situation at its limit

when work takes over a life, people stop describing and start reaching for the extreme — I could collapse, I don't even have time to eat. -(으)ㄹ 지경이다 says a bad situation has got (almost) that far.

Example

  • 요즘 야근이 너무 많아서 쓰러질 지경이에요.

    There's so much overtime these days I'm ready to drop.
