-잖아요 (Level 3) reminds people of what they know, but it only works at the end of a sentence in casual talk. In a talk, an explanation or a polite chat you need an opener, 'as you know, …'. The same shape has a second job that shows up all the time: 'practically'.
Example
보시다시피 오늘은 가게에 손님이 많지 않아요.
As you can see, there aren't many customers in the shop today.
