In order to… / so that…
-(으)려고 하다 (Level 2) says what you intend. To explain WHY you do something — 'I study in order to pass' — and to plan around someone else's goal, Korean has a purpose family, and you need the whole family to pick the right one.
Example
한국 회사에서 일하기 위해서 한국어를 배워요.
I'm learning Korean in order to work at a Korean company.
