-더라도 (vs -아/어도)
Even if… (a supposed case)
you know -아/어도 for 'even if'. But when you suppose a case and want to say that nothing will change — 'even if it rains', 'even if you fail' — real speakers, and every essay, reach for -더라도.
Example
아무리 바쁘더라도 아침은 꼭 먹을 거예요.
No matter how busy I get, I will make sure to eat breakfast.
