No use even if… — -아/어 봤자
-더라도 says 'even if…, my plan stands'. Its gloomy twin says 'even if you do it, it is no use'. That is the sigh of this unit: calling Bori again, running out into the rain, queuing at a taxi stand — all pointless.
Example
지금 나가 봤자 버스는 벌써 떠났을 거예요.
Even if you go out now, the bus will already have left.
