A-아/어 보이다 · A-게 생기다
Looks … (an impression) and has a … face (features)
Level 2 gave you -(으)ㄴ/는 것 같아요 for guesses. When you look at a person or a dish and describe how it appears, Korean uses two different verbs, 보이다 and 생기다, and learners swap them. Both belong to describing people, so you learn the pair together.
Example
오늘 많이 피곤해 보여요. 어제 못 잤어요?
You look very tired today. Didn't you sleep last night?
