Even if it means … — a resolve at any cost
Taught in Level 5, Unit 2: First quarter
a new employee wants to show resolve, and Korean has a set phrase for 'I'll do it even if it costs me this': -는 한이 있더라도. You know -더라도 ('even if', L4-U02); this phrase names the extreme price you are ready to pay.
Example
굶는 한이 있더라도 그 사람한테는 돈을 빌리지 않을 거예요.
Even if it means going hungry, I won't borrow money from that person.
