V-나 보다 · A-(으)ㄴ가 보다 · N인가 보다
It seems …, it must be … (a guess from what I can see or hear)
Taught in Level 3, Unit 10: Guessing and checking
at Level 2 you guessed with -(으)ㄴ/는 것 같다 and -겠-. Korean has a sharper tool for the moment a clue appears in front of you (a wet road, someone's face). -나 보다 says 'judging by this, it must be so'.
Example
사람들이 우산을 들고 있어요. 밖에 비가 오나 봐요.
People are carrying umbrellas. It must be raining outside.
