Taught in Level 3, Unit 10: Guessing and checking
last unit's -거든요 gave news the listener did not have. Its mirror image is -잖아요, which reminds them of something they already know or should know. Koreans use it all day, and it is easy to get wrong because it can sound sharp.
Example
어제 제가 말했잖아요. 오늘은 회의가 있다고요.
I told you yesterday, remember? There's a meeting today.
