Taught in Level 3, Unit 9: I heard it's different in Korea

at Level 2 you gave the reason first and the result second (-아서, -(으)니까). In real talk the reason often comes after: someone asks 'why?', or you feel you owe an explanation, and the reason becomes a sentence of its own.

Example

  • 오늘은 일찍 가야 해요. 저녁에 약속이 있거든요.

    I have to leave early today. I have plans this evening, you see.
