-나 보다 needs a clue in front of you. When there is no clue, and you just know the person, the place or the habit, you guess with -(으)ㄹ걸요: 'I'd say probably …'. It often gently corrects what the other person just assumed.
Example
주말에는 이 식당에 자리가 없을걸요. 미리 예약해요.
There probably won't be a table at this restaurant at the weekend. Let's book ahead.
