V-는 바람에
Because of a sudden event (with a bad result)
Taught in Level 3, Unit 8: I almost missed the bus
'why were you late?' — an alarm, a delay, a sudden rain. -는 바람에 gives the unexpected cause behind a plan that went wrong. You already know -아서, 때문에 and -느라고 for causes; this is the one for things that suddenly got in the way.
Example
갑자기 눈이 오는 바람에 약속에 늦었어요.
It suddenly snowed, so I was late for the appointment.
