Switching between 반말 and 존댓말 in one conversation

real scenes are mixed — you stand between a friend and a friend's parent, and you have to change in one breath. The rule is short: look at whom you are talking to.

Example

  • 보리야, 우유 마셔. 어머니, 커피 드세요.

    Bori, drink your milk. Ma'am, please have some coffee. (to Bori, then to Bori's mother)
