I'd like you to… — a soft request
Taught in Level 4, Unit 12: Hoya reads the letter (Level 4 review)
at the end of the letter the great-grandmother asks a favour, gently, as a hope and not a command. 'I would like you to…' is exactly the tone of a letter, a speech or a shy request to a teacher.
Example
이 이야기를 오래오래 기억해 주었으면 한다.
I would like you to remember this story for a long, long time.
