a debate about feelings, a toast at the end of the year and a 1930s story all need feelings at full strength — thanks with no end, rudeness with no equal, a heart left utterly empty. Formal and literary Korean pushes an adjective to its limit with -기 그지없다 and -기 짝이 없다.
